Property asking prices down in November

According to Rightmove asking prices have dropped up to 3.2% so far in November, bringing the average property price in Britain to £229,379.00. However, prices are still up 1.9% on last year.

“Buyers who are active in this winter market will have a plethora of choice, so their decisions will be based on bargain-hunting as well as on the usual criteria of location and quality of accommodation.” says Miles Shipside, director of Rightmove.

This leaves the market wide open for investors and buyers with mortgages in principle. In addition, the need for good conveyancers and property solicitors to support both sides of the transaction is more important than ever before to allow as many transactions as possible to come to a successful conclusion.
